I have 99 problems and the Cincinnati Reds are all of them, and the worst part? They’re not done yet! 99 losses…..99 out of 160 games…lost…. and somehow, someway, we do not stand alone.
The Cincinnati Reds, along with division foe, the Pittsburgh Pirates, are currently holding hands at the bottom of the NL Central, starring down the barrel of 100 loss seasons with 2 games left on the schedule.

Oh sure, we’ve been close, 98 in ’15, followed by back to back 94 loss seasons and a 95 in 2018, but 100? 100 losses seems like a tall task no matter what product it placed on the field. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that it wouldn’t be the first time either.
The Reds haven’t put Cincinnati through this much misery since 1982, when they finished 61-101. I can’t speak much on that team considering I wasn’t even a thought yet, but what I do know is Johnny Bench was at the hot corner, and Tom Seaver went 5 and 13 on the bump. Two Hall of Famer’s, unable to wake the franchise from the dreaded 100 loss nightmare season.
With that being said, how about having 0 HOF’s on the diamond trying to prevent 100?
Cessa will take the mound tonight for our 5th straight game against the Cubs. We may have stole one from them last night, but don’t forget about the weekend we just had in Chicago where they handled us in 3 straight, outscoring the Reds 16 runs to 3.

2 games left in Great American Ball Park to decide whether or not this is the worst team in franchise history, along with the ability to finish dead last in the NL Central. Stay tuned folks, we need a clean sweep.
